2010 Winter Standings
The following are the current results for the 2010 Winter Season. There are summary and detail listings for each division.
Please note that matches played by non-members, non-current members and unnamed players are counted as losses in the Summary listing and in the Team total on the Detail listing. This is what determines a team's standing in the league and status for playoffs.
In the Detail listings, players marked as Non-Members are not current in their PSRA membership. All such matches are counted as losses in the Summary listing and Team total on the Detail listing. Also, there are places that have no name at all (Unknown). These are instances where the player's name has not been submitted at all. All of these matches are likewise counted as losses. Matches defaulted by way of non-membership will count as wins for the opposing player or doubles team, unless that opposing player or team is likewise in a non-member status or otherwise defaulted the match.
We encourage captains and players to review the detail listings to see if any matches fall under the above conditions, and then urge your players to join the PSRA (and USSquash). This is generally done through the US Squash web site. All team roster players are required to be both PSRA and USSquash members before the season begins. In case of the emergency situation where a non-roster player is used for a match, that player is required to be a PSRA member at the time of the match. In the event that a player is not a current member of the PSRA, the entire team match will be defaulted by the offending team, resulting in the loss of both wins in the case of doubles and all three or four wins in the case of singles. We have enabled a grace period for each season that ends 2 weeks after the first day of the first league to start. If the membership is made current within the current season's grace period, the match wins will be restored.
If you feel the results are in error, please contact Ken Jaffe. If you feel that membership information is incorrect, please contact the US Squash Membership Officer, Bill Buckingham.
Regarding Playoffs, please note the following:
ALL matches need to be completed by the date of the last scheduled regular season match on the league's schedule, and that ALL results, including player names, must be submitted by the end of that next day through the PSRA web site, or by email to Ken Jaffe if the website is unavailable.
ALL playoff matches, including finals, will be hosted by the team that finished higher in the division. A neutral court for the finals will only be used in the case where there are two separate but equal divisions in the league, where the first place team from each division plays the second place team in the other division in the semi-finals, and the resultant winners playing in the finals are from different divisions.
